Being recognized as one of the New 7 Wonders Cities in the World, Vigan takes pride in its preservation of Spanish Colonial architecture. Up until now there are still preserved European structures in the country but only in Vigan can you find a whole village being preserved! Walking around feels like walking through memory lane.
Vigan Empanadaan. Located beside Plaza Salcedo. Eating the famous Vigan empanada is heaven! For 35php, we had this for lunch. Each of us had 2!

If you get tired of walking, there are old, wooden chairs scattered throughout the heritage village for one to sit on.
Saint Paul Metropolitan Cathedral
Provincial Capitol.
Syquia Mansion Museum. This mansion houses the memorabilia of President Elidio Quirino, 6th Philippine President.
Simbaan A Bassit. Ilocano term for small church, this cemetery chapel is found outside the heritage village but still a walking distance. Scary to think that a functional cemetery is found just beside this church.
Pagburnayan Jar Making
Baluarte. A zoo at the soutwest end owned by Governor Chavit Singson. No fees are collected. Here you can see a collection of animals bred by the governor himself.
Dancing Fountain at Plaza Salcedo. At night, the city becames alive as a musical dancing fountain entertain the tourists and locals.
Vigan Travel Tip; Bring a map with you and walk your way through every attraction in the city (except for Baluarte).
